Summer Fun in the Winter Time

Blessed California weather. The kids have been able to spend some beautiful days outside- even Marie.

It took a couple of days after Christmas before we could convince Eric to try and ride the mini quad, but once he got on, he was hooked. Now we have difficulties getting him off! Can't keep Marie off it either!


Yep, that is Marie riding her new bike! She was bound and determined to be able to ride it again. She had to be a little patient to wait for the right time, but she finally did it!

The kids have long enjoyed hanging out in their hammocks, but they recently, got the brilliant idea of a double decker hammock.


This is what it looks like when the bottom one is swinging under the top one. Makes my hair raise just a bit.

Another thing we did this winter, was change Marie's place of care. We transferred her medical care from CHOC to Rady's. We did this for a number of reasons - mainly the distance. We loved all the doctors and nurses at CHOC and will miss our old friends, but the convenience of Rady's is pretty nice. We are getting to know the new doctors and nurses, and getting comfortable here. So far, so good!

Even Garfield likes the hammock - as long as Stuart is on it with him! Stuart was relaxing out back, and Garfield came out of nowhere, hopped up on Stuart, and made himself comfortable - just like he used to do when he was a real house cat:)

Yep, Marie again. This time she is on her electric scooter she got from All from the Heart for Christmas. She has wanted one of these for a looonnnggg time!
